    Use azelastine just twice a day for adults and adolescents 12 and older, 1 or 2 sprays per nostril,
  • How to take
    Clear your nose - Clear your nostrils by blowing your nose.
    Look down - Tilt your head down to keep the medicine from going down into your throat.

  • Precautions

    Some medical conditions may interact with azelastine spray. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:
    if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
    if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement

    If Azelastine is taken with certain other drugs, the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. It is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Azelastine with the following:

    Alcohol
    Drugs that slow the nervous system, including codeine, phenobarbital, and Restoril
    Cimetidine (Tagamet)
    Ketoconazole (Nizoral)
    Other antihistamines such as Benadryl and Claritin
  • Missed dose
    If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
  • Storage
    Store at controlled room temperature between 68 and 77 degrees F (20-25 degrees C) away from sunlight and moisture. Protect from freezing. Keep the bottle upright with the pump tightly closed.
